The Holy Ghost

Among late-'90s techno artists, The Holy Ghost distinguished itself through a flair for theatrical presentation, issuing a pair of ambitious full-length albums on Tresor. The first, The Mind Control of Candy Jones, appeared in 1996; the second, The Art Lukm Suite, followed in 1997, each marked by a pronounced conceptual bent. Tresor supplemented those releases with several 12-inch singles that resonated widely with techno listeners worldwide. The project also contributed tracks to various mix CDs and compilations while maintaining an active touring schedule as a live performer. Its stage presentations frequently drew greater attention than the recorded work itself. By the close of the decade both the association with Tresor and new studio output had ceased.
