Biography
Emerging as a black metal endeavor tied to Thralldom's Killusion, also recognized as Ryan Lipynsky, the Howling Wind issued their opening dense experimental black metal recording in 2007. That debut effort, Pestilence & Peril, placed Killusion in charge of guitars, bass, and vocals while Parasitus covered percussion. Appearing through Profound Lore, the album earned favorable notice across extreme metal publications. The outfit sustained its output of proggy cult metal via the follow-up full-length Into the Cryosphere in 2010 and then Of Babalon in 2012.
