Biography
The Jack Fords, a five-piece Cleveland, OH, ensemble blending folk and rock, issued their first album—a live recording—in 2006. Titled Bent Outta Shape, the effort earned both critical praise and strong local support after being captured at the very venue where the group had honed its reputation, which in turn strengthened expectations among followers for further achievements. Guitarist Bobby Latina and vocalist-guitarist Brent Kirby established the band in 2005, later completing the roster by bringing in bassist Paul Lewis, keyboardist Chris Hanna, and drummer Greg Campolieti. After devoting their initial year primarily to refining their stage presence, the Jack Fords generated sufficient attention to justify cutting a studio album planned for release during the winter of 2008.
