Biography
Darren Gaines, who once fronted New York City punk band the Great Shakes, heads the Key Party, an outfit he calls "the kitchen sink with guitars." After the Great Shakes entered a hiatus, Gaines launched the project and chose a folk-punk direction whose vocals recall a blend of the Cramps and Tom Waits. Hit or Miss arrived in 2006 buoyed by abundant musical and vocal input.
