Biography
For more than two decades the Kramers, a Christian family ensemble, have specialized in uplifting gospel and praise & worship material. Broader attention arrived with their first full-length project, the 2016 album Revive Us Again.
Rooted in Peoria, Illinois, the group originally consisted of D. Scott Kramer on vocals, guitar and keyboards, his wife Rachel West Kramer on vocals, and their daughter Maria Kramer handling vocals plus ukulele, mandolin, piano and guitar. From the mid-'90s onward Scott and Rachel sang regularly at their local Illinois church while also serving as hosts of the RiverLife Gospel Music Cruises on the Spirit of Peoria riverboat. Rachel separately issued multiple solo albums. Their daughter Maria later became a permanent member, and the family issued their recorded debut, Revive Us Again, in 2016. That year Maria wed singer/bassist Ben Wolfe, who promptly entered the lineup. In 2020 the resulting quartet unveiled the Wayne Haun-produced The Hope of All Tomorrows through StowTown Records.
