Hailing from Portland, ME, the Leftovers generate electrified pop-punk driven by incisive melodic hooks and sufficient force to animate an entire convoy of 18-wheelers, with Kurt Baker supplying bass and lead vocals, Andrew Rice contributing guitar and backing vocals, and Adam Woronoff on drums. The group came together in 2002 and entered the studio the following year for their first release, the EP Mitton Street Special. Their debut full-length, Stop Drop Rock N Roll, arrived a year later in 2004. Cheapskate Records partnered with the band on the 2006 follow-up Party Tonight, while Rally Records put out the three-song 7" Steppin' on My Heart that same year. During 2006 the Leftovers played shows across both the United States and the United Kingdom, drawing enthusiastic notices from Ben Weasel and Larry Livermore, then entered Smart Studios in Madison, WI, at the start of 2007 to record their third album, On the Move, which appeared that June.
