Biography
In 2004, the Lovely Sparrows came together in Austin as an indie folk collective centered on the enduring partnership between Shawn Jones and Jason Cooper, both longtime friends and collaborators. Their performances feature live lineups that fluctuate between one and seven members. After issuing the 7" single Take Your Hats Off, You Godless Bastards, the group put out their EP Pulling Up Floors, Pouring on (New) Paint via Abandoned Love Records during October 2006. Contributions to this EP came from vocalist Lauren Steinburg along with drummer/keyboardist Earl Vallery.
