Biography
Emerging from Los Angeles in the 1990s, the eerie group known as the Mansions positioned themselves as a domestic counterpart to the British sounds dominating the era. The lineup featured Chris Cano handling drums and keyboards, Eddie Olguin on vocals, Johnny Burke on guitar, and Jeff Rodriguez on bass, drawing stylistic cues from acts such as Pulp and Blur. With fierce determination, the Mansions stormed the local club circuit in L.A. while establishing Prometheus Records as their independent imprint to issue the first album, Charms for Love and Revenge, during 2000.
