Biography
A partnership unites the cryptic Brooklyn noise-pop outfit Blank Dogs with Dee Dee, the creative force behind Dum Dum Girls. Together the pair forged a hybrid sonic identity that fused elements from both endeavors. Their first single, Already Warm, appeared on the Brooklyn label Captured Tracks and delivered an inflated, grotesque, distortion-saturated aesthetic that merged Dum Dum Girls’ drowsy sweetness with Blank Dogs’ distortion-slicked spookiness, thereby paying clear tribute to Young Marble Giants, Dolly Mixture, and Black Tambourine. The project’s opening EP, Young One, was scheduled to arrive via Troubleman Records in 2009.
