Biography
After living in Japan from 1996 to 1997 and leading the surf combo the Saboteurs, guitarist Mark Brodie—who had previously fronted Mark Brodie & the Beaver Patrol—returned to Vancouver and assembled the Metalunas. Bassist Mike Cinnamon and drummer Rod Moore supplied the rhythm section. The group issued its first recording, X-Minus-One, in 1999.
