Biography
Hayes Waring, who established the Olympia, Washington indie label Perennial Records, assembled the abstract indie pop group the Moving Pictures together with Lilian Maring of Grass Widow and Charles Waring from Milk Music. Tense and introspective, the band’s material stretches from bedroom dance parties to dark, crashing numbers that recall the stranger artifacts of the New Zealand underground. Their first full-length LP, EMDR, Pts. 1 2 + 3, appeared in 2016 as a co-release between Perennial and K Records. Perennial family members Katie Alice Greer of Priests, D.A. Terence, and Dave Harvey contributed to the album.
