Biography
New Pacific, a Los Angeles, California outfit devoted to heavy melodic rock laced with pop-punk hooks and resonant alt-rock choruses, formed in 2015 through a collective admiration for Thrice, Foo Fighters, and Jimmy Eat World. The roster comprises vocalist/guitarist Alec Strickland, guitarist Brett Carpenter, bassist Dustin Martin, and drummer Brian Perry. After surfacing in 2016 with several singles, the group delivered the Cycle EP in early 2017. A featured slot at Lollapalooza, consistent rotation on KROQ, and a track on the Eagles of Death Metal benefit LP each contributed to the band’s growing profile. In November 2018 they issued the single “Get Away,” produced by Steve Evetts (the Cure, Saves the Day, Every Time I Die).
