Biography
Formed in 2011 following the breakup of the Paper Chase, the Nighty Nite is a nervy, experimental post-punk rock outfit led by Grammy Award-winning producer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer John Congleton. The group’s knotty rhythms, elliptical melodies, and dark, twisted lyrics rest on contributions from Chris Tignor of Wires Under Tension, Kevin Schneider of Shearwater, and Jordan Geiger of Hospital Ships. Shortly after assembling, the Nighty Nite put out the four-song EP Dimples on Bandcamp and Graveface Records; their first full-length studio album, Until the Horror Goes, then appeared on Fat Possum in 2016.
