Biography
The Nonce emerged as a Los Angeles duo when rappers Nouka Base and Yusef Afloat joined forces, merging classic hip-hop techniques with the jazz-tinged atmosphere associated with outfits such as A Tribe Called Quest and Digable Planets. Their first album, World Ultimate, appeared in 1995. Turning It Out arrived four years later.
