Biography
Rooted in the longstanding beats of Morris dancing alongside broader English country traditions, the Old Swan Band emerged as a British ensemble defined by those foundations. Throughout more than a quarter of a century since its formation, the group has maintained its position at the forefront of English country dance music. As of 1995 its roster included Fi Fraser on fiddle, Paul Burgess on fiddle and recorder, Floss Headford on fiddle, Martin Brinsford on percussion, Jo Freya on saxophone and whistle, Neil Gledhill on bass saxophone, Johnny Adams on trombone, and Heather Viger on piano.
