Biography
Emerging from the remnants of San Antonio post-hardcore and emo outfit Carbon 12 Theory, Panic Division took form—distinct from both Pansy Division and Panic! At the Disco. Colton Holliday (vocals, guitar), Daniel Stanush (guitar), and Tavis Wilson (bass), all formerly of Carbon, enlisted drummer James Castillo and keyboardist Khary Alexander. The resulting quintet retained emo intensity while expanding electronic textures and synth pop components. Versus, the band’s debut for Militia Group, arrived in November 2005, after which Panic Division mounted extensive tours in support of the release.
