Biography
Portraying themselves as a troublesome girl gang, Liz on drums and vocals, Chela on bass and vocals, and Paula on guitar and vocals—known collectively as the Peeps—unleashed raw trash punk riffs throughout their hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. Reminiscent of 1977 all-girl punk acts such as The Runaways and Girl-School, Super-8 Records issued the debut EP My Boys, My Toys, Rock ‘n' Roll in 1998. The seven-inch “Ballad of the Last American Rock Band” appeared the following year, with Whichwayzup and a self-titled release surfacing in 2000. Their major label self-titled debut arrived that fall.
