Biography
Phantom Tones first presented their fusion of power pop and punk nostalgia to listeners in Turku, Finland, with the 1997 issuance of their opening EP Just Fine through Grandma Records. The four-piece lineup—P. Kaukonen on vocals and guitar, A. Väntänen on guitar, J. Sakki on bass, and J. Huovinen on drums—maintained that direction after entering an agreement with Hiljaiset Levyt Records in 1999, the same year they issued the next EP, Phantastico. Entitled Nameless, their first full-length album, appeared the year after.
