Biography
Emerging as one of the first spin-offs from the Nashville Teens, The Plebs featured vocalist Terry Crowe alongside guitarist Mick Dunford—both former Nashville Teens members—and bassist Danny McCullough at its foundation. The ensemble produced just a solitary 45 rpm record titled "Bad Blood" backed with "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You," during 1964; remarkably, this effort secured distribution in America via the MGM Records label. Additionally, the musicians provided accompaniment for Jerry Lee Lewis within the film Be My Guest. In subsequent years, Dunford took on a central role in both performances and compositions for Renaissance, while McCullough joined Eric Burdon & the Animals.
