Biography
Emerging from Leeds, England, in 2004, the hard rock group the Plight assembled Allistair Mancreaf on vocals, guitarists Lewis Pugh and Richard Storrow, bassist Sean Loughlan, and drummer John Defenzi. A demo surfaced shortly afterward and secured a contract with Thirty Days of Night. That association produced a seven-track EP, after which the band joined Gallows for a nationwide tour. Visible Noise later became their label, and the Black Summer EP appeared toward the close of 2007. The Plight maintained a demanding schedule through 2008, completing another U.K. tour with Poison the Well while writing and recording their debut full-length, Winds of Osiris, slated for October 2009.
