The Razzels, a power trio from Buffalo, NY, deliver punk-fueled power pop driven by hefty guitars and crisp vocal harmonies. Fellow New York Staters the Goo Goo Dolls supplied an early lift by securing live dates for the band and lending a hand when it came time to track their debut LP, Suck My First Impression, which appeared in 1999. Garage rockers the Cynics took notice of that record, tapped the Razzels as tour mates, and saw their guitarist Gregg Kostelich place the group on his Get Hip Records imprint; the band’s follow-up effort, Throttle, arrived in 2001.
