Biography
Little information exists regarding Revolving Paint Dream, the psychedelic pop outfit that issued occasional recordings on Alan McGee’s Creation imprint throughout the 1980s. At the outset the project consisted solely of Primal Scream guitarist Andrew Innes and his partner Christine Wanless. McGee himself, along with Dick Green and Luke Hayes, may have joined or assisted the lineup during successive phases; under that loose configuration the group produced just two albums before ceasing activity, Off to Heaven appearing in 1987 and Mother Watch Me Burn following in 1989. Its debut effort, the “Flowers in the Sky” single, served as Creation’s own second release and ranked among the label’s earliest standouts.
