Biography
In 1995 Ben Foster, performing as Ben Weasel, teamed with Dan Schafer and Dan Sullivan—each a veteran of the longstanding punk group Screeching Weasel—to launch the Riverdales. The trio honors the Ramones’ pioneering approach by delivering infectious, unadorned punk rock and roll on the singles Back to You and Fun Tonight. Their self-titled debut album, recorded with producers Mass Giorgini and Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, came out on Lookout! in June 1995. Honest Don’s issued the follow-up effort Storm the Streets in 1997.
