Biography
The Rogers Sisters derived their name from the shared family surname of Laura and Jennifer Rogers, who formed the group alongside musician Miyuki Furtado. Originating in 1999 from the remnants of Ruby Falls amid Brooklyn’s thriving indie rock environment, the garage rock trio blended new wave and psychedelic influences. That combination appeared on the band’s debut album, Purely Evil, issued in 2002. A United Kingdom tour followed that summer. Three Fingers appeared in 2004, while Invisible Deck followed in 2006.
