Biography
The Michigan rock outfit the Satin Peaches often drew comparisons to the Kinks and Elliott Smith while completing work on a demo EP. Their path then led to Oasis manager Marcus Russell, who helped secure a deal with major label Island. Barely out of their teens, the musicians left college behind to hit the road and ready a full-length project. Following several lineup shifts, the 2007 roster consisted of George Morris on guitar, vocals, and piano, Aaron Nelson handling bass, vocals, and piano, Ryan Wiese on guitar, vocals, and keyboard, and Jeremy Smith on drums. That summer the Satin Peaches appeared on the bill at Chicago’s expansive Lollapalooza festival.
