Biography
Formed in February 1999, the Secret Hairdresser cycled through more than ten membership shifts before locking in its lineup around part-time DJ Jason on vocals and guitar, bassist John, Jo handling Moog and keyboards, and drummer Mick. Their core sound—Moog-drenched pop ethics that encompassed Weezer covers—persisted unchanged across every roster adjustment while the group kept gigging in its hometown of Cambridge, England. Alphabetty Records ultimately signed the band and issued its debut EP, Verse, Chorus, Miaoow, in summer 2000.
