Biography
Emerging from the Los Angeles underground in December 2002, former L7 bassist Jennifer Finch assembled a new group. Dubbed Shocker in nod to the suggestive hand gesture, the lineup also featured Lura Jones, Arye Shine, and Claudi Rossi. The outfit moved swiftly, releasing its seven-track EP Up Your Ass Tray on Little Pusher/Oglio the following July. Featuring cuts such as "Bad Brain, Good Head" and a bratty, NC-17 spin on raw punk revivalism, Shocker prepared its assault through summer Warped Tour appearances and a slot in Warped impresario Kevin Lyman’s Girls Garage, the all-female rock showcase staged as a club tour.
