Biography
Hailing from Austin, Texas, the surf revival trio the Sir Finks consists of Mike Guerrero on guitar, Damien Llanes on drums, and Jason Gentry handling bass and sax. Since forming in the mid-'90s, the band has released several full-length albums on the independent surf-focused label Wildebeest Records, including Devil's Agent and Instrumentals in the Key of Boss!. They have also supplied occasional tracks to compilations such as the Memphis soul instrumentals tribute Chinese Checkers, the surf reinterpretations of material originally recorded by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass titled Surfin' Senorita, and the four-song collaboration with Italy's I Cosmonauti called Guitars Don't Argue.
