Biography
Formed in 2000, the Soul Seekers emerged as a contemporary Black gospel ensemble rooted in Los Angeles, its eight members—Teddy Campbell, Warryn Campbell, Nisan Stewart, John "Jubu" Smith, Gerald Haddon, Charlie Bereal, Craig Brockman, and Eric Seats—each already carrying prior credits within the gospel music industry. Their debut live outing occurred at the Greater Emmanuel Temple Church, the house of worship led by Nisan Stewart's father, where they sustained regular performances across the following years. GospoCentric Records added them to its roster in 2005, issuing the group's self-titled first album and then waiting five years before delivering Soul Seekers II.
