Biography
David T. Chastain, a shred-guitar virtuoso, launched the Southern Gentlemen to pursue heavy blues-rock steeped in Southern flavors and shaped by the style of his heroes Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, and ZZ Top. Kevin Kekes on bass and Dennis Lesh on drums completed the trio, leaving Chastain to handle lead vocals as well. Late 2000 saw the arrival of Exotic Dancer Blues, the band’s first release and an unapologetic tribute to 1970s sounds.
