Biography
Forming a talented five-piece group, The Stowaways recorded enough strong tracks for a full album release through Justice Records, the Winston-Salem, NC imprint owned by Calvin Newton. Serving as frontman, Tim Tatum demonstrated skill in both melodic Beatles interpretations and intense punk styles, while his bandmates included lead guitarist Tommy O'Neal, rhythm guitarist Paul Quick, bassist Ken Knight, and drummer Ken Tanner. Their adaptability shone through an ability to maximize the impact of vocal and instrumental hooks, creating music that at times bridged the styles of the Rolling Stones and the Beau Brummels.
