Biography
Among reggae's most esteemed session vocalists stand Carlton Smith, Junior Moore, and Derrick Lara, collectively known as the Tamlins, whose reputation rests largely on extended international tours alongside Peter Tosh. The trio has supplied harmonies for John Holt, Delroy Wilson, Pat Kelly, Marcia Griffiths, and numerous additional performers while also issuing their own recordings. Derrick Lara's distinctly ethereal high lead lines evoke the finest examples of 1970s Philly soul, a genre the group has frequently interpreted.
