Biography
During their upbringing in Norwell, MA, Matt and Andrew Thompson developed an early taste for Dwight Yoakam and Steve Earle. Although most friends across the Northeast dismissed country music, Mike Whitty signed on with the band the brothers had launched in the early '90s. After several years refining their sound across Massachusetts, the trio headed to Nashville and landed a contract with RCA almost immediately. The Thompson Brothers' debut arrived as the 1996 EP Cows on Main Street, followed in 1998 by the full-length Blame It on the Dog.
