Biography
Though the Stooges have functioned as an American comedy mainstay for more than six decades, accounts of their lengthy career appear in abundance elsewhere. Far less familiar is the detail that their last trio—Larry Fine, Moe Howard, and Curly Joe DeRita—issued comedy recordings directed chiefly at the children’s audience whose enthusiasm later sparked the group’s unexpected television success in the late ’50s and early ’60s.
