Biography
TYNI draws from Lene Lovich, Madonna, David Bowie, and Lady Gaga rather than fellow Sheffield acts the Human League and ABC when shaping her modern take on electronic pop. An appearance at a modest industry showcase caught the ear of producer Wayne Wilkins (Natasha Bedingfield, Shontelle, Cheryl Cole), prompting him to sign her to Croydon Boy. Recording first as Tiny Dancer, she issued the single “Who Am I” in 2013 before shortening the stage name and rearranging its vowels. Further sessions with Wilkins alongside Ana Diaz and MNEK yielded the 2017 EP Fighter.
