Biography
Blending garage rock energy akin to the White Stripes with Patti Smith’s incisive lyricism and channeling everything through the densest layers of psychedelic rock, the Vitals operate as an L.A.-based trio of Kate Strand (vocals, guitar), Henrik Linde (guitar), and Dylan Howard (drums). The members had already formed close friendships before establishing the group, which made its first appearance in 2012 via the album Qualia on the ORG Music label. Their 2015 EP Gold Night arrived next, backed by a European tour in which they served as openers for Tracer. In 2016 the band released the single “Come Undone,” a moody cover version of the 1993 Duran Duran hit.
