Biography
Multi-instrumentalist Jim Milne joined forces with percussionist Steve Clayton in the duo The Way We Live. In the early 1970s they cut their debut, the unmemorably average A Candle for Judith, for John Peel’s Dandelion label, fusing British hard rock with folky and progressive influences. Acting on Peel’s advice, they adopted the name Tractor and delivered a comparable second album, also on Dandelion and titled Tractor, which proved to be their final release.
