Biography
Having achieved prominence within Nashville's music community during the closing years of the 1960s, Charles and Robert Whitstine rejected the dominant country trends in favor of reconnecting with their foundational influences in gospel, bluegrass, and traditional country music. This shift led to the creation of Sing Gospel Songs of the Louvins, an album that debuted in 1969 before receiving a reissue from Rounder during 1994. Three more recordings have since been issued by the same label.
