Biography
Emerging from Hong Kong as an English-language pop outfit, the Wynners gained widespread recognition throughout the mid-1970s. The quintet, formed in 1973 under the banner of a teen idol ensemble, includes vocalists Alan Tam and Kenny Bee, guitarist Bennett Pang, bassist Danny Yip, and drummer Anthony Chan. Their entry into the music industry occurred in 1974 through the release of the album Listen to the Wynners. This was soon followed by a 1975 TVB television program and three movies: Let's Rock that year, Gonna Get You in 1976, plus Making It in 1978. While the Wynners went separate directions starting in 1978, enabling Alan Tam and Kenny Bee to launch notably prosperous individual careers, the five members maintained an official connection without a complete split and have come together at intervals since then.
