Biography
In 1995 the indie duo the Yips took shape in Columbus, Ohio, when singer/guitarist Gilmore Tamny—formerly of Mike Rep and the Quotas and one-time publisher of the fanzine Wiglet—joined forces with drummer Jon Davidson. Once the pair had inked a deal with Siltbreeze, they quickly put out the single “1000% Fox,” after which their debut album Bonfire in a Dixie Cup arrived in 1996. Blue Flannel Bathrobe surfaced the year after that.
