Biography
Emerging from the remnants of the Unclaimed, another band with a comparable aesthetic, the '60s-influenced Thee Fourgiven featured Ray Flores on bass and vocals, Matt Roberts on drums, and Bela Horvath on guitar. Taking shape in the '80s and reflecting the spirit of earlier Motor City rockers such as the MC5 and Up, the trio released multiple albums—It Ain't Pretty Down Here, Testify!, and Salvation Guaranteed—plus a range of singles and tracks on various compilations. The group disbanded in early 1989.
