Biography
Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, the all-girl quartet Thee Ultra Bimboos channeled the raw '60s trash rock edge of the Sonics, the Wailers, the Stooges, and the Chocolate Watchband when the group first surfaced in 1994. Their pair of 1996 EPs, Absolutely Fabulous and We Can Go On Together With Suspicious Minds, quickly aligned the band with fellow Finnish garage outfits including the Flaming Sideburns, the Bomber, and the Hypnomen. After several European tours, Twang! Records issued the quartet's debut full-length, Supremess, in 1997. Their follow-up album, We Can Stop Whenever We Want, arrived two years later in 1999.
