Biography
Having studied classical piano since early childhood, Oslo-based singer/songwriter Therese Aune fuses folk, classical, and indie rock elements into refined, atmospheric chamber pop that recalls Regina Spektor, Grizzly Bear, Agnes Obel, and Ólafur Arnalds. Her debut album, Billowing Shadows, Flickering Light, issued by Riot Factory in 2012 and led by piano, was produced by Sturla Mio Þórisson (Owen Pallett, Bonnie "Prince" Billy) and features a compact ensemble of Hans Hulbækmo on drums, Ida Løvli Hidle on accordion, Heida Karine Mobeck on tuba, Hanna Furuseth on violin, and Katrine Schiøtt on cello.
