Biography
Hailing from the frosty reaches of the upper Midwest, These Hearts operate as a hard-hitting, faith-based post-hardcore quintet that fuses the pulverizing rush of metalcore with the confectionary mellifluousness of pop-punk, recalling the work of contemporaries such as Taking Back Sunday, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, and A Day to Remember. The ensemble formed in 2007 in Fargo, North Dakota, built around Ryan Saunders (vocals), Isaiah Folk (drums), Kyle Colby (guitar/vocals), Daryl Van Beek (guitar), and Tyler Rice (bass). After self-releasing their debut EP, Mistakes & Second Takes, in 2008, they signed with Victory Records, which delivered the full-length debut Forever Ended Yesterday in 2011 and its dynamic follow-up, Yours to Take, in 2013.
