Biography
Sweden's Thirdimension drew from classic rock, Britpop, psychedelia, and indie rock for their sound, earning enthusiastic coverage in the domestic press upon issuing their first album, Protect Us From What We Want, via Warner Music Sweden in 1998. Outside Sweden the record made little headway until Hanna and Michael, two Swedish students at the University of Illinois, delivered a CDR to the Parasol label and distribution firm. The pair were taken on as interns, after which Parasol moved quickly to secure the group they had grown attached to. In 2002 the imprint Hidden Agenda licensed the album for domestic release, prompting Warner Music Sweden to manufacture a limited vinyl run intended solely for the United States. Two years later Thirdimension returned with their follow-up, Permanent Holiday.
