Biography
The trio Thirsty Fish unites Psychosiz, Dumbfoundead (Jonathan Stewart), and Open Mike Eagle, three figures who emerged from the open mic and freestyle-rap scenes of Los Angeles' hip-hop underground and are known for their eccentric, spontaneous approach. Their paths first converged at the Project Blowed headquarters in L.A., where Chicago-born Open Mike Eagle joined forces with Dumbfoundead—born in Buenos Aires and raised in Koreatown, Los Angeles—and Psychosiz. The group released its debut album, Testing the Waters, in February 2008 via the independent Project Blowed imprint, featuring contributions from West Coast underground stalwarts Aceyalone and Abstract Rude.
