Thi'sl

Born in Greenwood, Mississippi, Thi'sl relocated as a toddler to St. Louis, Missouri. Among Christian rappers he stands out for his gritty, hard-hitting approach; an upbringing marked by hostility denied him anything resembling a conventional childhood. He later stepped away from street life to build a rap career centered on recounting his experiences and advocating positivity. This House I Shall Live appeared in 2007, followed by two X-Hustler releases: Chronicles of an X-Hustler in 2009 and Beautiful Monster in 2011. He contributed to Lecrae's Gravity, a Grammy-winning album that reached the Top Five, before signing with Full Ride. Under that imprint he issued Free from the Trap in 2013 and Fallen King in 2014. The latter project featured Flame, Json, Laquan Green, and Nonna among its guests and entered the Billboard 200 at number 115.
