Biography
Forming in 1999 out of South Carolina, the Southern fried hard rock band Throttlerod originally consisted of Matt Whitehead on vocals and guitar, Bo Leslie on guitar, Chris Sundstrom on bass, and Jon McNabb on drums. That same year they cut a four-song demo titled "By the Horns," followed in 2000 by their first full-length release, Eastbound and Down, which appeared on Underdogma Records. Extensive roadwork came next, together with a deliberate relocation to Virginia and the later addition of Kevin White on drums, after which the group joined Small Stone and issued their second album, Hell and High Water, in 2003.
