Biography
Hailing from Philadelphia, Tim Bowen initially broke into music during the 1970s as part of the local garage-rock group the Boneheads. He went on to open concerts for notable acts such as the B-52's, Brian Setzer, Nico, and Madness. Following a stretch of reflection in Rome, he came back to the United States, joined the independent Falling Crow label, and put out his first solo album, Variety, under the billing Tim Bowen & the Crystal Ball Breakers. Like many of his peers, Bowen shows skill at writing words that capture the highs and lows of daily experience. Outside of music he also works as a painter, with examples of his output appearing on the www.inliquid.com site.
