Biography
A musician who has accumulated some 20,000 hours scoring soundtracks for Toronto's McLaughlin Planetarium, plus additional planetarium shows, award-winning radio dramas, films, and theater productions, naturally prompts expectations of refined electronic work. His graduate training in composition further supports that impression. Although Tales of the Sun People remains his sole solo album to date, the release distinguishes itself by sidestepping the flashy textures and sparse melodic content that satisfy many electronic artists. Instead, the music continually introduces surprising shifts and fresh reworkings of familiar ideas.
